Es war im März 2020, als die polnische Regierung die ersten Schritte unternahm, um die Ausbreitung des SARS-CoV-2-Virus einzudämmen. Viele Einschränkungen des Alltags wurden beschlossen. So wurden etwa Treffen von mehr als zwei Personen im öffentlichen Raum verboten. Spaziergänge in den Parks und auf den Boulevards waren ebenfalls nicht mehr erlaubt. Die Warschauer Behörden entschieden, alle Spiel- und Sportplätze im Freien zu schließen. Um deren Nutzung zu verhindern, wurden die Spielgeräte mit schwarzer Kunststofffolie umwickelt.

Mir war es wichtig, diesen Moment festzuhalten. Der Anblick der neuen, skulpturalen Elemente im öffentlichen Raum erinnert uns tagtäglich an die schwierige Situation, die uns derzeit hautnah betrifft.

In March 2020 Polish government took steps to reduce the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Many limitations associated with everyday life was established. It was forbidden to garner in public space of more than two peoples. We were also not allowed to walk in the parks or the boulevards. The authorities of Warsaw decided to close all playgrounds and outdoor gyms to prevent the use of them. The equipment of these places was additionally wrapped in the black stretch film. I wanted to document the moment. The time with the new, sculptural, elements of the public space every day reminds us of the difficult situation which affected us.
